You can't stop an offline raid with a wall. You can make sure it stops being an offline raid within five minutes.
Small Tribes is six people with jobs, time zones and sleep. There is no build that survives a determined tribe with hours of uninterrupted time. What changes outcomes is response time: a raid that gets two defenders online in five minutes usually ends; the same raid at 8 AM ends with a wiped base. Everything below is about shrinking that gap.
1. Early warning before damage
- Tek sensors on approach routes and behind the first turret line, set to trigger on enemy players and tames.
- Parasaurs in turret mode covering the air and ground approaches.
- A few cheap structures outside the perimeter. Raiders clear them first; the "destroyed" lines are your alarm.
2. Alerts that wake people
All of that is pointless if the log is only readable in-game. Feed it to Discord, route the raid signals to a dedicated channel, and use a siren in a voice channel — raid alerts guide. Agree on one rule: whoever is reachable joins within five minutes, even if it's just to pop tames out of cryo and reset turrets.
3. Keep one client logged in
The bot needs a character in the tribe with the Tribe Log open. Use an alt account on a spare PC or laptop, parked somewhere safe inside the base. That same character can be the first responder: already in, already at the base.
4. The first five minutes
- Read the alert picture: which structure, which coordinates. That tells you the side they're on.
- Turret check: ammo and power. Most offline raids start by draining turrets with cheap tames.
- Uncryo defenders where the turrets are. Don't fight outside the turret cover.
- Call in the tribe with the voice channel that's already blaring.
5. Time zones are a feature
Recruit across time zones on purpose. Two members in Europe and four in North America means someone is awake 20 hours a day, and the alert reaches them.
Questions
▸Does the bot stop the raid?
No. It turns an offline raid into an online one by getting people there. Defense is still on you.
▸What if the raiders kill the bot's character?
The tribe log keeps updating as long as the client is connected; a dead character still has the Tribe Manager. Auto-reconnect handles disconnects.
